In the autumn of 1992 a Chinese-Japanese climbing team made their second attempt to conquer the world's highest unclimbed peak, Namjagbarwa, in Tibet. The first attempt failed just 322 metres short of the summit because of avalanches and strong winds. In the second attempt the climbers had to turn back twince because of avalanches and an unexpected cyclone. They were forced to bivaouc just below the peak, caught in the mist, but in the end they manage to achieve their goal two weeks later than had been planned. The film illustrates the team's sixty day struggle against the violence of nature.
