The Caucasus seen expressively with a poetic eye as an area of contraddiction and contrast. The severe restless mountains, full of life, have known the destruction of war and the desolation of death, but can come to life again thanks to hope that men still know how to cultivate. The negative of this short film was destroyed in 1996 on orders from the URSS Cinema Comittee. In 1992 the author restored it with a special video technique,althoughthis did not preserve all the original quality. The film has never been shown in Russia.
