Jan Luber, born in Gilowice, a mountain village in the region of Bielsko-Biala in Poland, is a disabled person who has lost the use of his legs and walks on crutches. Yet his hobby is climbing mountains. He has already climbed Mont Blanc , a fact that was reported by the French and Swiss press, but ignored in Poland where Jan is unknown. Now he is 45 and wants to achieve the last dream of his life: to climb Kilimangiaro before the illness spreads to his hands and prevents him from doing anything else. He has prepared this expedition himself with limited funds and the help of many benefactors who replied to an appeal announced on Cracow's radio station. We learn about this exceptional man through interviews and then during the climb.
