There is an old temple in Katmandu dedicated to the Annapurna divinity, the goddess of prosperity, abundance and progress, from which a vast area of beautiful mountains, Annapurna Himal, takes its name. Two experienced slovenian mountaineers, Slavko Svetlicic, making his third attempt and Francek Knez, for the first time, attempt the ascent in autumn 1993. The tv crew accompaining them were involved in a real drama confirming the might of the Annapurna goddess, well known by the local people. Is it really necessary to go there to find this out? The authors of the film wonders if the Nepalese greeting "Namaste", meaning "I salute all that is godly in you" is an answer to this question.
