The Giksan Indian tribe lives in British Columbia, in Canada. The Grand Chief of Squamish with its marvellous granite south wall dominates their territory. This wall is the destination of two climbers from Lecco, Renato Da Pozzo and Umberto Villotta. They don’t want their visit to be looked upon as an invasion and so they ask the tribe’s council of elders for permission to climb the mountain.
