The film presents the reality of summer alpine pastures today and the changes that have taken place in recent years. The documentary records an attempt to extend the production of Bitto cheese (that has recently obtained the controlled origin mark) to other alpine areas where it’s not traditionally produced. The film covers many subjects: the organization of life in the summer alpine pastures, the various methods of production, the exchange of experience between the two dairymen, who are the main characters in the documentary, the educational aspects and, lastly, the changes and innovations in alpine pastures.
