The Cho-Oyu has recently become a popular goal for alpinists in search of their first high-altitude adventure. It is currently being exploited by a good number of commercial expeditions. The protagonist, living his first experience of this kind, alone ascends towards the peak of the Cho-Oyu with a videocamera in one hand, filming those aspects of the mountain and of the exertion which usually remain unknown or hidden. The scenes show his face that, shot after shot, takes on an increasingly dramatic expression.
