Every year in the month of August some mountain guides of the former Soviet Union organise an international competition of mountaineering in the Tien Shan mountain range in Kirghizia. The event consists in solo climbing Khan-Tangri, a peak of white granite 7,000 metres high. The altitude and technical difficulties make this competition a challenge at the limit of human possibility.
