The Glorieuses, solitary grains of coral in the Indian Ocean, are virgin French islands. Every year hundreds of turtles come to the islands to reproduce and lay their eggs in safety from all predators. Threatened with the risk of extinction, the green turtles have found a safe nursery on the Glorieuses. The film director Rémy Tézier, who has been living on Réunion Island since 1990, spent several weeks on these islands with scientists from the Réunion Island centre of studies and research on turtles, to present an unedited report. He used film shot from the air, land and undersea to illustrate one of the last sanctuaries of nature. With this film the author wishes to contribute to the classification of the Glorieuses Islands as World Heritage of Nature.
