Only 10 Km separate Intragna from Camedo, but the bends in the road, between the nearby Locarno and the Italian border, seem to place the Centovalli in another dimension. A transit land, this narrow valley hides a world apart, with people who, by choice or fate, do not want to leave their place of origin. The documentary features men and women poised between a dyingfarm world and a modern one still to be defined. Some families in the valley paint a picture of the life of the few inhabitants confined within the walls of the family, village and valley. These people represent a modest life, lived with dignity, consisting of essential values in which they believe.
They have no wish to exchange their small “valley of Eden” for the comforts of town life.
