The images of a journey from Bangui (Central African Republic) to Brazzaville (Congo) on board a barge, offers the possibility to describe life during a cruise in the heart of Africa. Brazzaville is an important river port, situated in the lowest cruising stretch of the river Congo-Ubangui. This town has become a key transhipment centre through which pass almost half the goods that leave Africa. Surrounded by the beautiful Remanso de Malebo forest it has extraordinary natural spots, such as the river rapids, the Batéké highlands and the Linzolo area. This natural paradise is more and more eroded by urban expansion and the extreme instability of a country that is tormented by civil conflicts.
