Giorgio Fornoni, an independent reporter from Ardesio (BG) who has covered the distance separating the Earth from the Moon several times in the last thirty years, has a very particular view of journalism. He documents and bears witness to wars around the world, directing his attention mainly at the suffering of man rather than at geopolitics or major international interests. Fornoni has created a form of existential journalism, focusing on a profound personal search for self-knowledge in suffering, hope, renunciation, pity and many Christian attitudes which today could not be further from the West.
His journalism takes an almost mystic form, with the video camera pointed at the world and the soul directed at the universe. Images from his most important reports are gathered together in this film.
