Fabio Giacomelli died on Cerro Torre, Patagonia, on 1 January 2010; he was climbing back down the mountain after attempting another new route to the top. He was cruelly swept away by an avalanche on a blustery, snowy day at the foot of a mountain that was an important part of his world. This film enables us to relive his love for the mountains and paints a portrait of a wholesome life. It is a tribute to his humbleness, good-nature and mountaineering principles. His thoughts and words reveal the values of a splendid person, an ideal companion, a good friend, a true mountaineer and a great man.
