Italcementi was a factory which closed definitively in the first half of the 1990s, a gigantic complex which stretched out over a large area at the foot of Mount Sardagna, near Trento. In the last few years numerous news items have been linked to the place: an underground city under the unseeing gaze of the city. Dozens of people, mostly immigrants, live like ghosts inside the former factory. The film illustrates the slow and imposing nature of the place, with the enormous silos, old production areas, bent fallen cranes, rusty trolleys, old tools and tall chimneys stretching up to the sky like obelisks. It investigates the perception that local inhabitants have of the former factory and the people that live there and the fears of the latter.
