The film follows the progress of a thirteen-year-old Siberian girl, Nadya, from her village to Tokyo. Nadya is taken away from the country by Ashley, a former model and now talent scout, torn between manipulation and pity. It is a journey marked by mirages, difficult circumstances and disillusionment, in which the girl encounters so many mishaps that the troupe is obliged to abandon the dogma of "non intervention" in order to help her.
