Nadea and Svetlana emigrated to Bologna from Moldavia a few years ago. They are of different ages but both need to work to help their families. When thirty-one-year-old Svetlana, who sees Nadea as a sort of adopted mother, finally receives the documents to return home and see the daughter left with the grandmother when she was just three years old, the two manage to maintain a solid relationship, albeit at a distance. However, for Svetlana it is not yet time to settle down.
