The prize in memory of Amelia de Eccher, for women on both sides of the movie camera, goes to the film by the Polish director Natalia Koniarz.

The Amelia de Eccher Prize was established in memory of Amelia de Eccher, for women on both sides of the movie camera. At this 2024 edition it has been awarded to Postcards from the Verge by Natalia Koniarz (Poland/2023/40′). The motivation given by the independent jury, made up of Elena Goatelli, Ingrid Runggaldier and Linda Cottino, was as follows: “Behind an apparently simple cycling adventure, a delicate story about a young man fleeing the pain of his parents’ divorce takes shape with a journey to a remote place, in terms of both landscape and emotions, together with the woman he hopes will be the love of his life. Wonderful photography and a strong narrative ability are the hallmarks of a director who engages our interest and takes us on a poetic adventure of self-exploration, with simplicity and balance.” The prize will be announced at the Cinema Modena in auditorium 1 at 5 pm.
