“Ambin” is just a word written on the maps to indicate a group of mountains between the upper Val Susa, Val Cenischia and Moncenisio. To allow Ambin to transform itself from just a word to a “name”, it takes observers of these mountains and rocks, capable of living there and attempting to give them a form and time. It takes a vision that grasps and recounts this, to save them from oblivion and their fragile persistence.

Fredo Valla
A documentary-maker, screenwriter, director and organiser of cultural events. With Giorgio Diritti he wrote IL VENTO FA IL SUO GIRO; UN GIORNO DEVI ANDARE, VOELVO NASCONDERMI and LUBO, competing at the 80th Venice Film Festival. In 2012 he founded L'AURA, a film school in Ostana.
