In the Georgian mountains, a cable car connects a village to a small town in the valley. Iva starts working for the cable car as a conductor and is now in charge of operating the gondolas. While one gondola goes up to the village, the other goes down to the valley. Every half hour, halfway down, the gondolas meet. This is precisely the moment when Iva and Nino, the conductor of the other gondola, meet every time. At first, they only exchanged casual greetings, but over time they develop an understanding that goes beyond a passing wink. A new film by the German director Veit Helmer (ABSURDISTAN, THE BRA - IL REGGIPETTO) who, as usual, chooses the tones of the surreal fairytale without dialogue.

Veit Helmer
Veit Helmer was born in 1968; he is a fellow of the European Film Academy. He writes and produces for his own production company. He made his first film at the age of fourteen after beginning his studies at the Munich Film School. His first feature film, Tuvalu, has been shown at sixty-two festivals.
