SADPARA is a journey through the heart of the mountains in Pakistan, in search of the roots of a name that becomes a people. The basic everyday life of a small community marked by its strong limpid character emerges by exploring the bond with the mountains, against the background of the immense Karakoram range.

Gabriele Canu
A director, mountaineer and explorer, his work documents and examines more closely the links between people and local areas. He deals personally with the whole creative process for his projects, from direction and photography to filming and editing. He has produced and directed two full-length films: Finale ’68 (2018) and Sadpara (2024).
