On September 19, 2021, after 50 years, a new volcano emerged on the island of La Palma. During the months of the eruption, a group of childhood friends shared audio messages via WhatsApp, creating a daily chronicle of wander and tragedy, far from the media narrative. AN INHABITED VOLCANO is a collective portrait of the friendship and the spirit of the people of a land which, from time to time, has to live through the hypnotic and devastating power of nature.

David Pantaleón
Born in Canary Islands in 1978, he graduated in Dramatic Art from the Escuela de Actores de Canarias. Since 2006, he has directed more than 20 short films that are internationally recognized at various festivals.
Jose Víctor Fuentes
Born in Canary Islands in 1973, he is a filmmaker and producer. Since 2002 he has been running the Festivalito La Palma, a pioneer contest of express filming.
